Holy crap, it’s been like…3 months? 

Last I posted an update was in October and a lot has happend since. I had a considerable hardware and software upgrade since, I’ve written a lot of new songs, and I’m still working on SpaceShip Earth. 

As for hardware: See this post for details. I should note that I have since returned the Korg KP-Mini since it’s only real use is for performing, which I’m probably not gonna be doing any time soon.

With software, I purchased Ableton live Intro a few weeks ago and have been playing around with that. It has a lot of potential and will allow me to do more. Other than helping me record and produce music, it will be great for DJing and performing. At some point I wanna get an Arduinoboy and sync my Gameboy with Ableton via MIDI. This way I can get cool chip sounds and software instruments to expand my sound. For now, just keep an eye out for my new mixtape series. I’m working on music from the year 2003 and I am about a third of the way done. 

As for composing, I’ve written a lot of new songs and even did a version of Deadmau5 cover. Most will end up on an EP or Album, but one has made it’s way to the internet.

I posted DystopiaNet last week as part of a protest against SOPA and PIPA. It was meant to be an imaging of an internet that was controlled by corporations in a dystopian future. This song is an experimental piece and does not represent any of my other work.

Now for the real reason as to why I wanted to do an update. 

SpaceShip Earth is not ready, but I’m getting there. Mostly what’s holding me back is lack of knowledge of producing audio and I don’t want an album that I hold close to me to suffer due to inexperience. I want to be happy with the album and to be something that I can be proud of.

Instead, I’m going to delay SpaceShip Earth and instead work on the EP that I planned on putting out afterwards. This EP will be a collection of songs that are different in style compared to what will be on SpaceShip Earth and are more in the style of dance/house/techno generes. Right now the tentative title is “Transitions.” 

Glad I got that out of the way.

• Gameboy Running LSDJ x2 (Synced with link cable)
• - One has a backlight and pro-sound mod. 
• - One has a backlight installed but not soldered. W/ Custom Translucent Red Buttons

Currently working on an 8-bit Deadmau5 cover that utilizes both Gameboys. Taking a few weeks off to focus on studying for school.

I plan on working on getting SpaceShip Earth out the door during winter break.
